I know that these cars are not all "muscle" cars, this term for me describes American cars from the early sixties through the early seventies, the muscle comes from large displacement engines in large bodies. This was a time when the quickest car at Sunday's drag racing was also the quickest car off the dealer's forecourts Monday morning, gas was cheap and 500 ft/lbs of torque was available from the showroom. These cars are my passion, although I don't really own one myself, (my car is in members section) The photos are all taken by me, I am not a photographer, as you can probably tell!
Here in UK we have limited numbers of American cars but if you look hard you can still find them, below you can see a 455 Buick GS convertible which is a fabulous car and will smoke the tyres any time you touch the throttle. There is also a 1970 Chevelle SS which is high on my wish list, this particular one was pictured at Santapod raceway but was for sale in 2005 for £16000, sadly I couldn't afford it! Location of these pictures are , as previously mentioned , Santapod Raceway, Felixstowe beach and Hotrod Nationals at Ipswich and if you didn't know, the event at Santapod is the Mopar Nationals which is on every July and is a must for all Muscle enthusiasts...
